I had the opposite problem. I bought supposed bush beans (topaz pintos) from Vermont Bean company. Imagine my surprise when then started to vine. I had to through up a quick and very ugly trellis in the community garden.

Sometimes the bush beans vine up a little. Are yours still growing tall?
I emailed Park Seed and they offered to replace them. That doesn't help me now though. I only planted about a 4' row of these, since they produce so much vertically. A 4' row of bush beans doesn't make much. :( I just planted some left-over seed from 2 years ago (pole), taking the chance that they could still mature if the season is long.
Park seed also sent me the wrong cucumber seed a couple years ago. That was also a bummer.
I guess these things happen. ??

Oh, they're definitely pole beans. They've reached the top of the makeshift 5-foot trellis and are reaching for the skies. :) I hope the trellis holds. On the bright side, they're growing great.

I never heard back from Vermont Bean after I emailed them about it. And, yeah, these things happen. I would've appreciated some response from them, but... oh well.
