Problem with Tendergreen Bush Bean

Posted by weetoots Oahu Hawaii 11 (My Page) on

This plant has been putting out some beans, but is failing.
Leaves turn brown and then dry up. Nodules on stem, some side stems break off very easily.
Thanks,

Al

I have no idea, what ever it is, we must not have it in the East.

Is that happening on many plants?

jimster,
Fortunately no. The beans grow pods, so I am getting some return, but it does slow the growth of the plant itself. Stems break off easily. I watch the amount of fertilizer and definately have no problem with sun and temperatures. I am going to add more compost to that bed, it is mostly sand and clay with some mulch.
