"Could the heat be a problem..."

I think that is likely if there are plenty of flowers. Has it been unusually hot where you are?

So glad you asked this question....we are having the same issue: plenty of blossoms, nice foliage, but no green beans.

And, we are having the very same problem here!! I am nearly begging my plants to produce green beans~every day I go out and search to find one... none yet! My beans are Kentucky Wonder and the foliage is beautiful and the flowers are beautiful... they have been planted since mid may and NOTHING! We are in SE OK where the temps have been in the 100's (up to 112) the past five weeks.

I would guess heat - I've been having the same issue, and we've only had temps around 90. I've also had pole beans go through 'cycles' depending on the amount of water they get - tall vines can suck up a lot of water every day.

I too, am glad to see this subject, as my husband's Blue Lake pole beans have also been planted since May, and although they are beautiful and healthy; dark green foliage and lots of blooms, he has to date found only one bean! I will print out this thread for him to read. Thanks so much.
