I picked all of mine off and have them in a jar waiting to be used. I buy lots of dry beans in the fall and winter so I figure I might as well use my own. They are easy to miss and I am thrilled to use them. I have a jar that I keep my dried beans and one for dried peas.

They are perfectly fine for eating. Or, you can use them for seed next year. Either way, be sure that they are good and dry, seal them in a air tight jar, and freeze them for two days before you store them. This will prevent weevil eggs, which no doubt are already under their skin, from hatching.
