Pole beans counter clock-wise

I have noticed that my pole beans always go around the pole in a counter clock-wise direction (viewed from the top looking down). I've planted two different varieties and it never fails. I even tried to force them to go in the clock-wise direction but they would have none of it!! I live in the northern hemisphere and I wonder whether they go clock-wise in the southern hemisphere.

Yes, they seem programmed to stubbornly twine in one direction only.
It's the same in both hemispheres.
BTW, water bowls and toilets drain the same north and south. Urban legend notwithstanding.

In the northern hemispher plants/trees twist like right hand screw(clockwise viewed from top). Among trees that I know sycamore and sweet gum have this feature more than others. this phenomen is due to the earth's rotation around its axis.
