Bean expert, What kind of green beans should I plant for a possible fall harvest? Prefer non-pole kind. I am in Zone 8B, Central Texas.

The best flavored and most prolific bush bean I've ever grown is Roma II, but I don't know whether you have enough time for maturity before frost. I planted mine in late July and they're budding now ready to bloom. Of course your frost will be later than mine.

Thank you. I found some RomaII seeds. I planted some in the spring time and harvest a lot. They are a little bit wider and flatter than other bush green beans. I do like them better. I put in some yesterday. Our average freeze date is Nov 17th. The package says 55 days. Hopefully I can harvest some.
