Southern Exposure Seed Exchange. They probably have around 15 varieties to choose from. Try the red rippers if you have room, because the vines get long and take over everything! The pods are longer than my forearm and filled with 18-20 seeds. Plus they turn pink when they are mature so they are easy to find and very easy to shell.

I previously posted this link under the Zipper Cream thread. Although the search was for that variety, the companies listed carry many other Southern peas, and some of them sell in quantity. Willhite is one of the more reasonable.

Red ripper is the one that especially tolerates very sandy soil, isn't it?

I have sandy soil and they are doing just fine. Of the varieties I've grown they are the most vigorous.
