Harvesting and storing cowpeas

A couple of questions:

We're harvesting our peas when the pods are starting to turn yellow, some of the peas are still green, are these ok to store?

Is it ok to place the fresh peas directly into the freezer without blanching?

Thanks in advance.

If you want dried peas, let the pods completely dry. The green shellies, you can freeze without blanching IF you plan to use them with 6-8 months. Blanching does enable frozen peas to keep longer.
