eating dried beans with mold

I am new to growing/drying beans. I have purple emperors that had some moisture before I pulled and hung inside, the whole plants. Now that the leaves and pods are drying, as I open the pods, I am finding that some beans have a bit of white mold on them. Are these safe to eat? I know I shouldn't store them this way but I wonder if the mold can be wiped (or washed) off and/or if there is any toxicity issue? thanks.
