I've read the occasional discussion on here, but this is my first post.
I have a bit of a quandary: I planted shell beans for the first time this year, both vining and bushy ones.
The bushy ones did not yield a whole lot, but the beans we got all looked as expected; they looked just like the seeds.
The vining varieties did great in terms of yield - the plants grew huge and made lots of pods - but all the beans just came out white. What happened, and what do shell beans need to get their particular colors? I'm stumped.
