Bean TREE is blooming!

Ok, so it's not a "tree". But it is certainly the biggest bean plant I've ever grown. I decided to try growing gandules (pigeon pea) this year and I am very happy with the results. I heard they were bullet proof so I did absolutely nothing to the plant and put it in the worst soil in my yard. It's done well considering. The only problem is that I started the seeds inside before the last frost date, it is just now blooming and the temperatures are starting to cool. It's a long season subtropical plant and I have no idea what cooler temperatures will do to it. Has anyone grown pigeon peas before and do you know of a variety that matures earlier? I got the seeds from a family member in Puerto Rico where cool fall nights are not a concern.
