I have the one from big lots outside. After one season outside its already trashed. Since your just using the frame I don't see an issue. Those lights are great for Vegetative growth, not so much flowering as they are in the lower end of the spectrum. But they are free so im jealous! Good luck with it either way.

That's why I like 2 or 4 bulb 4' fluorescent daylight bulbs or even grow light bulbs. You can catch them on sale and they are much better than the limited spectrum shop bulbs.

I bought it with plans to use it inside. I didn't get to add the reflective insulation this weekend. A friend died, so I went for visitation and to the funeral Saturday. I didn't feel up to working on my project with a sad heart.

But anyway, it was really cheap and I figured with the frame it would be easier and less expensive than constructing my own.

I'm an electrician and I spend a lot of money, for the company that I work for, at our local electrical supplier. $25,000 + every year.

I asked our salesman if I could get the company discount on a case of 50 daylight bulbs with me paying cash. And how it would compare with sale prices. He doesn't stock grow bulbs.

He said sure, I'll beat any sale out there as long as you keep coming here instead of going to my competition.

Of course I said yes, because I like to deal with them better anyway!

I got 50 bulbs for $50! He had to lose money on them!

On top of that he gave me a voucher for 4 cheeseburger plates at the local "greasy spoon"!
