| i just bought a 125 watt full spectrum compact fluorescent and i don't know how close to set the bulb to my plants without burning them up. |

| 125 w CFL do not run too hot. still, from your pictures, may be just a little too close. give it 12' from the top of the seedlings. Those are expensive bulbs. have you considered regular 48" fluorescent? dcarch |

| dcarch, I don't use CFLs for plant growth, but did you mean 12 feet or 12 inches? confused... |

| Ha,ha,ha, 12" is correct. (12 inches). But too late now. sea_of_green has already torn down his/her house to install the fixture 12' above the seedlings. dcarch :-), :-D |

| lol no i havnt torn anything down installing my light 12' high. i knew you meant 12". i have it about 12" over them and there doin fine. i have a few bush basil sprouts and lettuce up (in the picture) and i have 15 more germinating in my humidity dome along with 13 sweet basil and 12 spearmint. |
