Growing under Lights

uncovering seedlings

I just started growing under lights this past month, and I was curious when I should uncover the seedlings that have germinated and have leaves. I am growing allysum, coleus mesclun, all sorts of stuff and I am sure each is different, but is there any sort of rule of thumb. I assume the deep humidity of being under the plastic lid is a hinderance at some point.

Yes, you are right, the continued humidity can cause damping off, a fungus that attacks them at the soil line and they keel over (die). They only need the humidity for germination. Once they sprout, you can go ahead and remove the cover.
