Leggy Lettuce

What can be done to lettuce plants after I have let them become leggy? Some have fallen over completly others are tall but standing. I pulled the ones that had fallen over and thinned them. If I take them out to the garden will they be okay?

They will probably be fine once they develop more leave4s.

Or sow them again, they grow really fast anyway :)

Harvest the lettuce and let it grow back. What kind of light are you using? Often plants become leggy when the light source isn't strong enough.

Or when the plants are too far away from the light. Seedlings should be within a couple of inches of fluorescent bulbs.
