Congrat! Give your husband a hug from me. I have started a journal about my seeds & plants. I am able to look back & see when I start what, where I bought the seeds, supplies & etc. Put everything down. You can always look back & plan the next year based on your trials. The highlight of my winter is reading my seed catalogs. I have lots of notes about my seed wish list every year in my journal. Congrats again!

Yes, I had the same experience awhile back. Once I started using lights to start seedlings, I had to move my seed starting dates a lot. Especially tomatoes. They grow very fast under artificial lights, and if you start them too early, you end up with trying to keep tall plants going until the weather is ready to set them out.

same thing here. This year purchased some 4 ft 8 bulb T5HO units and things are growing incredible. My wife's geraniums are flowering already. In 20 years of using windows and shop lights she never had geraniums flower indoors. things are growing way too fast however. next year I need to schedule all of the plant times.

I'm happy to see your success and want to ask some questions about my plants growing under lights. These are mostly sunflowers and they're growing fast. After 4 weeks most of them are about 6 inches tall. I have a few that have small brown edges to the leaves. What does this mean? Too much water? Too much light? Too much fertilizer? I've been feeding them with weak solution, 50%.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
