I do it every year expecting to give away or sell most of them. I'm single, live in a 1 bdrm house and have 66 tomato, 45 lettuce, 30 pepper and just too much of everything. 3 artichoke plants is probably about right for me though. I think that's the only plant I have that's not over abundant. I also have around 50 elephant ears that I have to get rid of. I have a hard time throwing away a perfectly good plant but need to either sell them on ebay/yard sale, give them away or just trash them. They are taking up room in a terrarium(that they are out growing) and one of my 18"x4' shelves and they multiply like crazy for me. I started out with 1 ea. of 3 different varieties 2 years ago and now have 15-20 of each.

Oh no! Don't trash the EE's - they are so beautiful - I have them too, but don't have much luck in propagating them. I am sure if you had a yardsale, they would go fast. Such a lovely plant. I love how they hold beads of water - like jewels of mercury:
