Moving plants to an unheated sunporch

Hello,

I have started seeds inside for last two years, but only 1-2 flats. This year I added a large set of steel shelves with shop lights and a heat mat. I now have 200 impatiens, 40 wave petunias, and about 8 flats of other annuals, tomatoes, etc.

My notes from last year show that I moved my seedlings to my unheated sun porch overnight in mid-April last year; however, it was much warmer and sunnier the last two years than it has been this year (I didn't record what the temps were.)

The next two weeks have low temps in the high 30's to high 40' with temps on my porch staying about 5-10 degrees warmer.

I am terrified to move my plants to the porch overnight! I have several flats that I have been putting on the porch during the day, but I have been bringing them in at night. The problem is that my house is getting very overcrowded as I transplant into bigger pots and we have family coming for Easter (my guestroom has become the plant room!)

Any advice, or guidelines for acceptable minimum low temps for plants?

Thank you!

Diane
