I picked up this reptile fixture (see link below) for free. Mine is 36 inches and has a 2 lamp and a 1 lamp extra fixture besides the fluorescent part, for a total of 4 lamps.

I took out the fluorescent lamp because it says for reptiles only and caution about uv radiation exposure.

I was wondering if I can use it for my plants if I put in a white or plant fluorescent tube and 3 of those smaller lamps that you can use to replace your regular household incandescent bulbs.
