Growing under Lights

When to take them out of the lights?

Hi all.. I started some of these from seed this spring (early) and the 6 -10 of each that survived look good few true leaves the size of quarters on the lupines and the size of dimes on the delphs...

My question is at what size do I plant these out? Should I keep them under the lights until they are bigger? How much bigger?

Should I just keep them in the house till next spring?

Started 2 packs of lavender.. got 10 good starts left... teeny sill.. what am I doing wrong here?

Same on the daisy... both were fine in the seed flats i started good germination rates moved em to individual cells and lots a lot of them....

I planted out lupine at that size and they did great. I would put everyone outside now, if they are large enough to handle. The sun and warmth will help them grow so much faster than they would under lights. If you keep them in the house until next spring, they will likely stay small and get really floppy and lanky.

What were the symptoms of the lavender and daisies that you lost? Did the stems shrivel up near the soil line and then flop over? That would be damping off. Or could they have gotten damaged by being handled in transplanting? Or could they have dried out too much?
