| Help!!! Can anyone tell me the difference between types of these lights????I.E., T5, T8,T12. Does this refer to size of tubes,different connections, or light output??? Can different types all fit in the same connections??? Can I put T 5s in a T 12 fixture??? etc? Can't find this info anywhere... aret here 3 different fixtures??? |

| Yes they are different diameters. T5's are .5", T8's are 8/8 or 1" and T12's are 12/8 or 1.5" Some fixtures will operate T8's and T12's. The pins are the same on both labeled "medium bi-pin base" but the ballast has to be designed for both in order for both types to work in them because they are operated at different wattages. Most fixtures are made for one or the other. |
