Follow up on Caladiums

Well, I dropped by here awhile back looking for help on getting 20-25 pots of caladiums going for when friends and family showed up for my son's graduation on May 27. So, for those who helped and have an interest, here's the report.

First I put them in 21 pots, big and large. Then I put them in a tool closet for warmth. I kept them moist and used light bulbs, first a 75 then a 100 watt bulb to get the temps up around 80 degrees. Later I added a small grow light (probably not much impact excetp as to heat.)

Well, of course, they needed heat and light. We got 5 inches of snow on May 2d and an inch of hail on May 12. We have been running about 10 degrees or more UNDER our average highs and, most importantly lows, just about ever since I potted them up. But, by moving them to a room with a sky light, keeping the room hot and moving them out days when the whether co-operated (not many!) they are now looking great and should be A-OK for the big day.

So, thanks for the interest and help. All's well that ends well.
