Growing under Lights

mini roses, C.F.L. or H.P.S. ???

Hello fellow indoor gardeners. I was just given a pot of mini roses, and am wondering where to put them. I have a grow area where they could have 17 hours a day of CFL or I could put them in my other area under HPS for 12 hours per day. I have never grown mini roses before, so if anyone out there has grown them indoors I would love some advice. Thanks!
