Prepara Power Plant?

| I've got my shop lights for seed starting, but the wife really wants an aerogarden for salad greens year round.
Does any one here use the prepara power plant pro? It looks to be a bit better and cheaper than aerogarden. I may be getting one soon, just curious if any one has one. |

| Cheaper because you have no light system and controller. If you have lots of sunshine or another source of light you would probably be fine. On the other hand you could makes one even cheaper with a bucket, air pump and air stone. |

| I have an aerogarden, and like it, but I often wonder if you could grow things with just a reservoir and a lid with holes(like, not even an airstone). If you have the plants suspended, it seems like they get air from the portion of their roots that's above the nutrient solution. I don't know why I haven't tried it yet-- it would take about ten seconds to set up, and if it works it would open up a lot of possibilities for plants at the office, etc. |
