I've got a section of closet I want to devote to small plants that like full sun. It's 37.5in long by 25in deep; there is a wooden bar to hang clothes, which sits 41 inches off the floor, and almost exactly mid-depth.

Most T-5 hoods I see with four bulbs are either 2 feet or 4 feet long. Is there such thing as a three foot hood?

Do the chains only attach to the ends of the fixture? Or is it possible to attach them towards the middle? If so, This would make mounting a 4 foot hood onto my 3 foot bar possible.
