CRI color rendering index Question..

I am shopping for t8 32 watt cool white bulbs.

Would a CRI of 86 be better than a CRI of 78?

All other things being equal, yes.
However that isn't a huge difference.
Other relevant factors are price,
and intensity. You want a high CRI
and also high output.

If I were to use fluorescents,
I would use the high output t-5s.
However usually ceramic metal halide
works better.
