I want to grow as many tomato plants in 7 gallon pots as I can over the winter. Foliage will be trellissed and be no more than 3-4 feet above the soil. Floor spacing will be about 18" apart. This is my first grow light experience, other than starting seedling under flourescent tubes.
What would give me the most coverage and/or better fruiting and ripening: one 600-watt unit or two 400-watt units?
How much floor are would each of these cover and how high should they be mounted?
I am consider the $119 400 watt unit at HTG supply, below,
or the $199 600 watt unit from the same supplier.

Any input appreciated.
