HPS Reactor ballast

2 main questions.

1.)Can I use hps reactor ballasts for hydroponic lighting?

This is my situation:

I have a 150W weatherproof security floodlight that had been cycling on & off. It finally stopped working and I bought a new lamp to fix it.

The light still does not turn on, so I took it apart. I looked at the starter and there appears to be a crack in the glass or plastic part, where the 3 wires come out. I don't see a capacitor. Do all ignitors have 3 wires and all capcitors 2 wires?

2a.)Can I buy any 150W ignitor to replace this?

2b.)Is there a difference between ignitor & starter?

Heres the info on the ballast:

USTA-150-HPSH

E169822

VOLT: 120v 60 Hz

Wattage: 150

Current: 3.0 Amps

Lamp: S55 HPS

Class H insulation system

Starter:

USTA CO., LTD

E169834

Catalog NO: USTA -55H

55 VOLT HPS Starter

Both ballast and starter have a backward "R" then u, twice.

If I have to replace both ballast and starter I would like to go with this Reactor kit.
