What do you want to grow, Aniya? And when? Seedlings are dead easy, getting lemons in winter is a little more tricky :)

I'm in the same spot as Aniya. Last winter had good luck with spinach under fluorescents in the basement. Now I want to grow peppers and tomatoes. I'm thinking I want to 400 watt HPS Ceramic bulb but I'm open to guidance from others. Thanks,

For tomatoes you might do better with 1000-a 400W will only do a couple plants.

I still want to start perennials from seed but I would also like to get things like freesia, ranunculas and sparaxis to bloom during the winter months. (I suppose they would like a little more warmth than the seedlings but I will deal with temp requirements after I figure out the lights.) Aniya
