Seedling light set up question

Hi Folks,

I have a question regarding my light set up for seedlings.

I have two double fixture T8’s (four lights). The Specs for each bulb are as follows:

2,800 Lumens
32 Watts
Color 85
Color Temp 6500

Will this set up be adequate for a few trays of seedlings? I have a 400w HID but think it's overkill for seedlings.

Thanks in advance,

Bill

i agree hid lighting for seedling is overkill. sounds like you have it right.. just keep the lights slightly closer than hid cuz the light doesn't travel as far as hid lighting and should be anywhere from 6-10 inches away from the tops of the plants.
