Hello. Newbee here. I want to overwinter, in my insulted shed, my bananas, figs, brugs,and medium to smaller trops, succulents and cactus. I'm going to mylar the surrounding walls, put up fluorescent plant lights and suplement all of this with a metal halide fixture for both brightness and the warmth it will provide.

what i'm looking for, is an inexpensive way to set up the metal halide. I figure to buy separate, the fixture, bulb and rig a stand to hold it. Home Depot carries 175watt fixtures for about $40...where can I find an inexpensive way or place to maybe get up to about 400watts? ...Or will the 175s be enough?

I'm just trying to 'maintain' sm, med & lrge plants in an area about five x seven foot, through the winter.
