Temperature Affecting groth

Hi

I have a heat problem I am running a 400 watt in a hydro hut mini. 3x3s6. My room temp is about 72 and having a hard time keeping it less than 78 to 80. This is with my bedroom door open and the glassed light vent tube is running out of the room which takes the humidity with it Nevada is pretty dry. I have a humidifier and such.

I would like to keep the door closed so the humidity sticks around which would probobly take my temperature up to 80 or 82.

I have two questions. Is taking my heat reading out of the direct ligh correct?

I am growing spinich, this variety is supposed to be able to handle summer conditions and Dandelions for my iguana.

Percentage wise how much do you think these higher temps will slow my groth rate down form maximum?

I have a 400 watt running in a 9x11 foot spare bedroom. Your temps sound about right. I have the same problem - tradeoff between venting the heat and keeping the humidity in. I wish I had a good solution.

Haven't grown spinach, so I can't help you there.

only thing i can think of is install more ventilation in the hut but then your are still going to lose your humidity anyways.

76-78 are ideal temps so your not too far off
