are MH UV levels dangerous?

I have a 1000W MH, with a tempered-glass cover on the reflector. Assuming an unbroken, properly functioning bulb, are UV levels low enough to work under the lights for an hour at a time?

I guess the question would be, is it any higher than being out in the sun?
