| Well 2 cheap 4' shop lights seem to do the trick. I transplanted wild strawberries into a large short plastic starage bin filled with 50% coarse sand 25% potting soil and 25% compost about a month ago and they're going nuts. All of the plants look big and healthy. All of them are sending out multiple runners and 3 of them are blooming. Looks like I'll easily meet my goal of having 20 or so plants in the spring and may even be able to enjoy a few berries in the meantime. These plants get no natural light and I'm amazed at how well they're doing.
oh and Mylar is your friend. |
