New Setup

This is my first try at indoor gardening.

Not really by choice - but a few weeks ago, my experiments with cold stratification of some japanese maple seeds came to fruitation.

So now i got about 300 seedlings i want to try and winter indoors or else they are goners.

So i have these metal racks left over from college, and added a 4'- twin bulb (40 watts /6500k bulb) - 1 light per shelf and placed it about 1" above the seedlings.

i have the seedlings in trays with removable blocks underneath.

So far so good - the ones that i brought in and grew under 12-16 hour lights have been doing alot better than the ones in the cold frame outdoors.

I have emergency mylar blankets wrapped around to reflect the light. I have a fan i turn on for an hour every day.

I still need to add a timer to this setup.

But what do you guys think? anything i can improve on? add? to ensure the survival of these trees to spring.
