Hi, all. I harvested some seeds from some supermarket tomatoes and I've been growing the seedlings under a 65w (300w equiv.) fluorescent shop light. I've been keeping them just a few inches from the light -- and boy is it hot! So i added a fan on 'low' to cool them off. I heard a breeze also helps improve the strength of the seedlings.

Unfortunately, this had a side effect of completely dessicating the soil. I almost lost all of them before i noticed! Now i have to water every other day or so to keep the soil from becoming totally bone dry.

Just a heads up in case anyone else runs into this.
