Does anyone know if there is a flurescent light that only gives off red ligth ?
Kinda of equivalent to an actinic but in red?

I would like to use an actinic light with a red output fluorescent.

I want to combine this actinic blue with a red fluo

There are red coloured fluorescents available, but they are based on halophosphates and are far from monochromatic, more a broad orange-red spread. I'm not aware of a fluorescent that contains just the red triphosphor which would give a near monochromatic red at 611nm.

I found what I was looking for.
Sylvania Pentron T5 54Watts HO.
They come in Red, Blue and Green.

Do plants need more red light then blue? Or should I put equal amounts of red and blue?

I bought the small colored 13 watts CFL just for a test. The combination of red and blue makes a very nice pure purple color.
