What peppers to grow?

Hi,

I'd like to grow peppers, especially sweet peppers, and I wonder if any one else grows sweet peppers indoors? I might also grow a few plants of a MILD hot pepper. Peppers are a perennial plant, and they keep on cropping, they love heat, and they love light, so it seems like a naturally good choice. I use fluoros to germinate seeds, and have some 450W pulse start halide lamps, as well as a 400W and 600W HPS lamp. I am planning on a garden that is

4' x 9', and I think about 30 plants can fit this spot.

A not-so-hot pepper that is fairly productive and not a long-season one - Hungarian Hot Wax. I love the taste on burgers, in meatloaf and in stews. Great pickling pepper.

Unless you are growing in water, or have super abilities growing in containers, trying to grow 30 plants such as peppers in 36 sf max, is stretching it. You will need to keep leaves trimmed and a fan blowing.

if 30 is too much, maybe i should go for 15 plants, that would be one bush per 2 sf. -Klinko.
