A good-looking adaptable plant stand

Considering what's on the market as far as price and looks, this has turned out to the best setup I've found:

The shelving (from The Container Store) runs about $90 or so. Shelf spacing is adjustable if not too readily so (I use a rubber mallet to loosen shelves from their moorings and move them up or down). Lamps are pretty basic except for the 8-tube T5 fixture on top. The lower two shelves get some window sun as well as light diffusing down from the bright T5 fixture.

All in all, a nice setup at a reasonable price, especially when compared to the dedicated units available in online catalogs, which are far pricier and offer less growing space.

Fantastic set-up!! I am off to Costco to get the shelving unit (about $75) which is almost exactly like the one pictured only it is chrome/stainless steel color. Never thought about using it for my plants. GREAT IDEA!! Thanks!!
