| The past 5 years I've avoided buying lilies b/c of the rlb. Among the survivors its clear the earlier bloomers get hit hard; they are all just lunch.
I have some later (mid summer) ones whose leaves get damaged but the blooms do quite well. A few questions: when in the season do martagnons and henryii bloom? Are they as susceptable as the earlier blooming asiatics and oripets? What are the later blooming lilies, and in your experience do they fare better with the beetles, as seems to be my experience. Over the years black beauty and 6 ft tall whites disappeared, and I don't remember how badly they were hit or if my hopeful memory is, like second marriages "the triumph of hope over experience.: Thanks.... |
