The Wisconsin Illinois Lily Society will sponsor two free public slide show/lectures in the early Spring, 2013 :

"How To Grow Great Lilies," at 2.00 PM on Sunday, January 13, and

"Latest Fashions in Floral Designs" at 2.00 PM, Sunday, Feb. 24, both at the Northbrook Public Library, 1201 Cedar Lane, Northbrook.

JANUARY TALK

Winnetka resident Woodruff Imberman will give the January talk. He is President of the Wisconsin Illinois Lily Society and lectures widely on lilies at garden clubs throughout the Midwest. Imberman is the author of numerous articles in regional and national horticultural magazines on lilies, is an amateur lily hybridizer, an accredited international lily judge, and has won many awards for his lilies.

Those attending will be taught simple propagation techniques for growing lilies, learn about the wide variety of lilies that flourish in our area, and how to design a garden with lilies so some are in bloom all Summer long.

Lectures have previously been at the Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe IL, but will now be offered in several other locations in the north and south suburbs, to expand our outreach. All are welcome. Come learn more about growing lilies!
