Asiatic Lilium Seed Preparation

(to lighten the mood of the backstory, here's a photograph of my Loretto lilies by the barn)

In November my parents' family barn burned down, and my lily garden burned down with it! Fortunately though, I had harvested some seeds several weeks earlier before the fire. I know they won't be the same as their parents, but I wanted to gain some experience on growing them from seed.

Right now I have them dry-stored in some open plastic bags in the fridge, and have been there for the whole winter. I know it'd be a good idea to soak them before planting them in seed trays. Should I soak them in water in a coffee mug? Or should I soak them in a wet paper towel? I'm just nervous since I don't want to break the flake-like seeds by accident.
