what to plant with lilies

I an going to plant some some oriental lily bulbs for outside planters.i know lilies like to have it more shady over the roots.but i was wondering if someone could recommend something i could put in the planner with them that isn't as tall and wouldnt look awful

I see no else has responded, so I'll give it a shot. I didn't respond earlier because I don't grow lilies in pots, but I would think that if you stick with plants that are somewhat tolerant of drier conditions you would be ok. Lilies, as you probably know don't like to be kept wet, so thinking things like geraniums or petunias maybe

Thank you.I was thinking petunias but I wasn't sure.

I just put them with English ivy. and then when the flowers are gone you can sort of drape long strands of ivy obscuring the stalks.
