Cost of Lilies

Just a question. I wonder why Schreiners lilies are sooo much more expensive than lilies found at Brent and Becky's bulbs? Most Schreiners lily bulbs are around $35 a piece! Brent and Becky's bulbs much cheaper at around $10 to $15 for 5! I know both places are great places to buy, from Dave's Watchdog30.

Kent, which Schreiners are you referring to? Schreiners Gardens specializes in iris - to my knowledge they don't sell anything but - and that's the only Schreiners that comes up on a Google search for mail order nurseries. Bearded iris are certainly not lilies and not even exactly bulbs (although they are rhizomatous), so I'm not sure what kind of comparison you are trying to make. New introductions of bearded iris can be very pricey, as can new introductions of various plants, including daylilies.
