I often wonder if the warmer zones have more problems with virus. I can't remember seeing any data on this. B & D Lilies also told me that "Golden Stargazer" is prone to virus as well. It has grown in my gardens for quite a few years now (knock on wood ;) ) without any problems. I have both "Sea Treasure" and "Tiger Woods", but I will note that I also started using Messenger with my lilies last year, for some potential organic protection against potential viruses.
I also note that The Lily Garden sells "Sea Treasure" .

Often, virus symptoms don't show up until warm temps arrive, which may be an answer to your inquiry. Also, sucking insects would have more opportunity to transmit viruses, because of a longer growing season.

Leftwood has the right idea. I'm more concerned about lilies that are known to be resistant to virus since they can act as carriers. Longiflorum (Easter Lily) is susceptible to virus. Since Sea Treasure is an LO hybrid I guess it inherited that trait.

OK, Longiflorums are susceptible to virus. But 'Tiger Wood' is Oriental, and it is supposed to be an improved version of 'Dizzy'. I am kind of glad now that I did not receive both of them with my Lily Pad order (Lily Pad did not get them from Holland because of the crop failure).
I will probably need something less expensive as a virus indicator.
