| I would like to know if it is OK to put a pre-emergent - such as Preen - in a mixed border that contains asiatics and orientals and iris. The bulbs have not sprouted, but the iris have. I have read other sites but it is never clear to me whether people are talking about grown plants versus bulbs that have not sprouted. Thanks. |

| i've been against using pre-emergant anywhere but my lawn. the natural balance is hard enough to maintain in my garden. |
