I'm looking for an inexpensive way to add some landscape plants that won't grow crazy out of control - or go dormant/die.

Lily bulbs seemed like a good place to start but I have no clue how they do in FL - (probably great since this state is a swampy jungle) - but just checking.

Any recommendation on one's that have the most color most often would be great - and not exceed 4 feet high - and not spread like a virus all over.

If I can grow them with bulbs - is that the most cost effective way? And of course the follow up question to that - cheapest place to get such bulbs? :-)
