Red Dutch: what is it?

I saw someone on this forum growing a lily called Red Dutch last year. Even though I planted a bazillion other lilies last year, when I saw this in the store today I caved, (hardly even struggled, actually). I am planning a new "hot" color bed and this electric color combination should be great.

But what class is it? Is it an Orienpet? DoesnÂt look flat enough. Asiapet?

I'm pretty sure it is an orienpet.
However, plantfiles (dave's garden) defines it as division 8- other hybrids.
Don't know the parentage on this one.

Sharon, it was probably yours that I saw that made me want this! I remember doing a search for sources and not finding it in the US. I did not pursue it because I had already planted so much by then. What a surprise yesterday to see it at Walmart, of all places. It was in my cart before I could exhale.

I only have one other Orienpet, Honeymoon. But that has a flatter face and a lot of edge ruffling that looks more Oriental. ThatÂs why I was wondering about Red Dutch.
