Not in our area - yet. Will dread the day they come, because I don't keep up with pests. My condolences, it sounds like a drag.

Yes!! I'm after them all the time because of how much damage they do and I seem to have a real infestation of them this year, even though I've been religious about killing them. Hate them!

I visited a local gardener yesterday who gardens organicly and she swears by this product for controlling Red Lily Beetle. Gotta get me some to try this year!

yes! I feel your pain, they have taken over my lilies in Midcoast Maine now, it's terrible. I didn't have this problem last summer.

I just read somewhere that even after squishing the little buggers you aren't supposed to leave them there. Does anyone know why? Am I defeating the purpose of doing all that picking? Even if noboby knows I think I'll be more careful just incase. Such a pain! These guys started popping up in my garden a few years back. Unfortunately the first year I only noticed after they'd reached the disgusting poop larvea stage. Yuck doesn't describe it.

Oh Dear.
I just stick my nail in them, break them in half and drop them. I have been finding them for about 3 weeks at least already this spring.
I forgot that I planted a giant fritillaria last fall-the first one that I have ever had. I checked it a couple of days ago and it was loaded with them. It's like a magnet for all of the lily beetles that are flying around. Most of the rest are in my old patch of orange tiger lilies. I have found very few in my patches of good bulbs. I spread Diatomaceous earth around twice this spring so maybe it is helping.
Just keep picking!
