Lily help for a newbie...

We had a wonderful Lily "garden" in our old home. It was left from the previous owners who obviously loved Lilies. There were orange ones, yellow ones, orange with black spots, pink and white.......all kinds. We liked them so much we named our dog Lily. Anyway, I have two small areas around some Bradford pears where we usually plant some annuals. I would like to plant Lilies, but don't know what kind will work for our yard.

We live in SE coastal NC. It is very warm here and we have what I consider good soil (black, yet sandy). I am limited on where I can purchase Lilies as the only garden store is a Lowes. The closest "larger" town is Wilmington or Myrtle Beach. I went to Lowes today and they had only three types of Lilies; Daily Bread Daylilies, Big Time Happy Daylilies, and Mount Dragon Hybrid Lilies. I really liked the Mount Dragon's because of the upright growth like our old pink and while lilies.

Now that I've gone through all of that, are there any suggestions?
